The Global EdTech Startup Awards
(GESAwards)

The Global EdTech Startup Awards (GESAwards) is the world’s largest EdTech competition and community, bringing together innovators from across six continents and more than 130 countries. Since its launch in 2014, GESAwards has become a leading platform for supporting global growth, fostering international collaboration, and showcasing groundbreaking educational technologies. This year’s competition finals are taking place at Bett Global, London on January 2026.

With a community of over 8,000 startups, the competition provides a unique opportunity for emerging EdTech ventures to present their solutions to a worldwide audience, forge strategic partnerships, and access new business and investment opportunities. Beyond celebrating the most promising startups, GESAwards plays a vital role in strengthening local EdTech ecosystems and driving investment into diverse and emerging markets.

For the Hong Kong track, Hong Kong-based EdTech startups can participate in GESAwards to gain global recognition, and obtain international awards.

EduEvidence’s knowledge partnership

EduEvidence stands at the forefront of EdTech innovation, staying ahead of the latest developments and supporting evidence-based solutions at every opportunity. In this spirit, EduEvidence has partnered with Esperanza, a leading non-profit organization, to serve as a Knowledge Partner of the Hong Kong GESAwards and to offer the opportunity to the winner StartUp of the competition to obtain an EduEvidence Certification free of cost. This collaboration creates a unique opportunity for the winning EdTech startup to benefit from our expertise and support, as well as get a headstart to developing their evidence further in the future.

This initiative is closely aligned with EduEvidence’s 5Es Framework – a comprehensive model designed to consolidate and advance effective EdTech practices. Our Head of Academic Advisory Board, Prof. Natalia Kucirkova, who developed the 5Es Framework, will also join the panel of judges. They will play a key role in evaluating entries, ensuring that the winning startup meets the highest standards of innovation, impact, and rigor.
